I play rotationally, one family per time. I give all my sims a different job, and some no job. I try to use all the jobs, I try to use all the clubs now that we have them for different sims. I also try all the traits with them. So, I have played all of them. I like to put opposite traits together in a household, so there is some conflict. I have had families of all generations and all configurations, fat, thin, etc.
I use a chart to keep track of my families and their traits and jobs and houses. Some families I cheat and give them lots of money, others I let them earn it and others I spend all of it so they have basically not much and then I make them live in the tent, and grow their own food.
I have started playing a "monk" community and I am having fun with that. They grow their own food and some have a job in the business career right now to earn money, but eventually I hope that I can make them self-supportive. I have a group of males of different ages living in a big house that I revised to have lots of bedrooms and a huge kitchen and study areas, and a "community area with television and couches. I still play them by rotation, and when I get back to this group there are many surprises.
