What Packs Do You Recommend For Me?

General discussion gets very often, if not daily,  some threads where simmers ask for help about what pack they should buy 😊 Specific packs or from all the packs .

What is of course a great thing to ask,  however,  would be nice if all those asks were all at same place.😉

This thread is for this purpose, tell us your playstyle or any detail you wish, to make it easier to give you suggestions 😊

Also here something to help you with the decision :

  • Get Together is used constantly in my games.  I love the club function and the world is one of my favourites.

freypan I don't have Get Together, but I love For Rent. The functionality is an issue, for sure, but since Businesses and Hobbies came out I've been more interested in the Small Business Residental lot type, which conflits with Residental Rental anyway. For Rent has some Build/Buy that I use constantly, and the world has a lot to do in it: shopping in the night market, fishing, swimming, collecting, exploring.

If you like Cottage Living and Cats and Dogs, I'd also recommend Horse Ranch. I use mini sheep and mini goats more often than horses, llamas, or cows, and the world is really beautiful and a different kind of outdoorsy.

I'd also second the suggestion of Growing Together for CAS and Build/Buy.

  • I'm trying to decide between buying AA or B&H as my next pack. Both have things going for it.

    • B&H have CAS and BB items that I really like and that fits into my current gameplay, while AA's CAS and BB are fairly lacklustre in my mind, with the exception of some of the hairs.
    • The modular playground and the added children's activities in AA are things that I have longed for.
    • The new exercise equipment are also things that I think has been lacking and the number of new activities and gameplay seems promising.

What I'm wondering about is which of the system is best from a visiting point of view. I like setting up businesses that my sim can visit, rather than run, and the lack of gameplay is frustrating. So from that perspective, to experience gameplay, rather than running it, which is the better pack?

Also, in general, which have you enjoyed more and why?

  • I'm not sure if I'll actually commit to buying a pack right now, but just in case, I'd like to get some opinions. Do you guys think that I should get Get Together or Snowy Escape? (I'm only looking at ones that are 60% off right now via the Black Friday Sale, and I have all the others except Eco Lifestyle, which I don't really want)

I know that both of the packs are very different, but I'm not too sure which one to possibly grab. Get Together seems like a staple, and it's surprising to me that I don't have it yet. The club features, dance skill, Windenburg, and having new items like the arcade game, closet, and diving platforms for pools intrigues me the most, although it all looks interesting. Regarding Snowy Escape, I'm itching for a new vacation-style world besides the more tropical/woodsy ones I have now (Granite Falls, Sulani, and Selvadorada), and the activities, festivals, and lifestyles look really fun, but I'm not sure I would use its features as much.

For more context, I'm really into family/generational gameplay, and I get really attached to my Sims as I'm only on generation 2-3 in my main save after 8ish years of real-time. I also enjoy building and CAS when I'm in the mood, and I get really into those modes as well sometimes.

If anyone has any other insight or could tell me which pack you think I should get/prefer over the other, that'd be great! Thanks!
