Just as an update: Speculation has now moved away from from a French or French inspired world, but rather now leaning towards an American inspired world that has Scandinavian influence such as Minnesota. Due to the "Take a dip in Lake Lunvik" hint. If not a fully Scandinavian inspired world, anyway. :)
