What's your final opinion on Carnaval Streetwear?

I was dead set against it, then read this thread. Now I have to have it, before I had only seen one or two items I would like, but after seeing some of the other clothing in the kit, I have to get it. Thanks guys. :D

Mine isn't on the list. I like it but it's just ok.

Yes, and why I said it's ok to bring back stuff from past games..however, TS2's CAS was full of these meshes. It's like players don't remember almost all of this stuff are meshes from TS2.

I bought it just for the female assets, I'm feeling a bit down lately and I felt like treating myself to something nice.

While I really appreciate your enthusiasm for LGBT+ and culturally diverse CAS assets, and it's certainly debatable whether the base game should contain more I'm also very happy that these thing get included in new content packs. I also feel inclined to defend Team Maxis here as it's not true that the base game does not have pride t-shirts. In fact there was an official free pride update that included a bunch of pride t-shirts.

I would have voted like. The idea is great and the colours are bright. The hairs are great.

However, this kit is too niche. I wouldn’t be dressing my Sims regularly in the clothes. As I build more I would get this in a bundle (if kits ever go in a bundle!)

It’s odd the pack icon is a mask but there’s none in the kit! ??‍♂️ ??‍♂️. This pack was the perfect opportunity to have masquerade outfits. Also don’t carnivals have floats and banners? ??‍♂️ That would’ve been fun to add.

I bought it, and I’m not impressed by the quality of this one. The textures seem lower quality. I really like the cutaway dress and the romper, so they made it worth it for me. I really wanted to like the duster with the body suits and shorts, but the IRL mechanics involved getting in and out of that to pee are too distracting to enjoy that version. I’m hoping some talented cc creator makes a variation that doesn’t look like it causes wedgies.

I’m disappointed that the preplanned outfit for women uses basegame fishnets that don’t meet the top of the skirt - you can see the lining of the tights through the skirt and while it’s not the end of the world, I was annoyed that they didn’t plan that better. Some of the colors also seem off. I also agree with everyone who says they wish the meshes worked on both frames - for a kit that is using Pride and rainbows as a selling point, that should have been the baseline for inclusivity.

resources spent on another kit... this should be assets for future game packs or Expansion packs. This mobile politic/milking is killing my passion for the sims
