I don’t want to sound negative but I don’t know if any of them have blown me out of the water, but some definitely were a lot better than others but none of them have exceeded my expectations sad to say. I think seasons is a must have. And while there was some annoyances about some functions when I played it, I feel like if you’re going to play the sims, seasons is a must. Something I really liked about seasons was the calendar and creating your own holidays I feel like they really put their heart into creating this one.
As far as an expansion goes - Island living felt stale to me, I was really excited for it and I don’t know why the gameplay feels so empty to me but it Just feels to me like it was sort of lazily done.
The worst game pack to me was jungle adventure. I could not get into that at all.
I really loved Vampires at first when that came out and I love the world of forgotten hallow. Get famous I thought was pretty good, and while I wasn’t blown away by get to work I consider it a pretty solid expansion pack considering it was the first one they released. Going to work with your sims can be fun and take up a lot of hours of gameplay and add more depth and accomplishment if you try and move up the career ladder.
The best stuff pack is definitely the paranormal pack although I wish they would have made this a game pack, but for a stuff pack it’s very rich. Richer with detail and things to do than probably any of the other stuff packs.
But I do like laundry stuff pack as well, I like to mix the mundane with the supernatural sometimes.
Some expansions I have not played because they don’t interest me and I cannot imagine being blown away or let alone liking them.
I don’t have the stars wars pack because I am not a fan of Star Wars,
I don’t have eco living because that just sounded boring to me.
I just downloaded werewolves and high school and am excited to try those out, but I’m still waiting to be blown away from a pack because I have yet too,I thought about getting wedding stories I’ve heard mixed reviews on it, to me to build an entire pack centering all on just one day seems kind of pointless to me, I would get a wedding kit or stuff pack, but I don’t understand making a game pack out of it, is there really that much too it? From what I’ve heard it’s fun for that one sim day which at most is fifteen minutes, unless your sim immediately gets divorced and marries someone else soon after,
So I don’t know I don’t want to waste my money on it if it’s really just focused on one day in the life of a sim.
sort of have high hopes for a generations pack I think if they add depth to each life stage it could really add a lot more playability and depth to the game but I’m afraid to be too hopeful.
