Why Doesn't Maxis Care About the Baby Sims?

I just wanted to make my opinion known here but I hate the baby and Toddler Stages. I'm not a huge fan of Kid or teen either. I like to go straight to young Adult (making my legit legacy Neighborhood playthrough quite tedious because i have to naturally let them age.) because I am mostly interested in mixing genetics and seeing what kind of adults I can produce, what they look like, etc. etc. any stage where there's no ability for reproduction is pretty useless to me.
