Why Doesn't Maxis Care About the Baby Sims?

Well, in TS2 you take two Sims in CAS and hit the make baby/toddler button and the genes are mixed then you can hit the age button and see what they would look like as an adult. I don't really have to fly through the age stages to know before I play. :p
