- Maybe repair the game?
(Sorry for my bad english! :s) - Do you have them nested in folders? If so, you might need to rewrite your Resource.cfg to see them.
- Pahndamonium3210 years agoSeasoned AceI would try moving your mods folder to your desk top (cut and paste) then repair the game (right click on The Sims 4 in Origin and you will see the option). Next, I would copy all of the .package files and cut/paste them to the new Mods folder that the game generates. Do not move the old resource.cfg file. Good luck!

I have around 300 .package files in my Mods folder but after resetting the whole Sims 4 folder in Electronic Arts (as the game wasn't working), my mods don't show up anymore however my tray items do? Not one of them shows up.
Check your Game Options, last page, and make sure your Script Mods box is checked. While you're there, check ALL your options, if you reset the whole folder, they've probably all gone back to default. - Ugh, so frustrating... the same thing is happening to me, but when I try to repair game the option isn't available. So I just cut/pasted my Mods folder contents to a folder on my desktop, restarted the game and quit it, then copied/pasted the contents of the desktop Mods folder back into its place and nada. Actually my mods stopped working a long time ago, so long I can't even remember when but I didn't care too much then - I do now though, I've got all these lovely new hair styles and things that I want to try!
I don't know what to do! "e01000101;14874631" wrote:

Hello @e01000101 .
Go to game options and check that the " enable custom content and mods" button is ticked, which is found in :
Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. If it isn't ticked, do that. Also check that the script mods allowed button is ticked as well. Exit the game. Then go back into the game again and see if your cc is there.- Thanks for your response, I've tried that but nothing. And actually, I can't even see those buttons any more (since buying Get Together a LOT of stuff is missing from my display and I don't know what's what any more) - ffs. Apparently I have to "be around for a little while longer" to post pictures or links.

With your missing items, do you have empty text boxes? If you do, try doing the solution in this link and see if that helps

If you are missing the "enable cc /mods " button, your game may not be up to date. Try right clicking the sims 4 picture in origin and click " check for updates".
If you are uptodate and the button isn't there, go to your sims 4 folder and move the options.ini or options file to the desktop. Start the game, then go to game options and see if the button is there then."luthienrising;13739054" wrote:

Hello
The post was written before there was a patch update, and a new type of resource.cfg file was created. The new resource.cfg allowed for further subfolders.
If you move your mods folder to the desktop, then launch the game, a new mods folder will be generated and have the latest type of resource.cfg file. You can then transfer your cc/mods from the old mods folder into the newly generated mods folder
