A Question about Bust the Dust Kit

I have a question: With the bust the dust kit, is it possible to exempt household(s) from the dust mechanic (f.e. similiar to laundry not happening when you don't have a washer with Laundry Day)?

The Reason I ask is because I'm trying to decide if I want this kit or should just give it a pass. If it's mandatory once installed I think I'll pass it, but if it's something that can be controlled as a mechanic I might be able to look into buying it. It's kind of a feature I want but don't want all the time.

  • It's either on or off but..

    • If the dust system is becoming overwhelming for you, you can turn it off in the game settings. Sims can still use vacuums with the dust system disabled. "

you can toggle it off but its sometime buggy. I would not recommend the kit to use without mods. I know 83bienchen have a mod under LaundryDayStuff -> dustonlyonlotwithwasher. I would recommend using this mod and not use the toggle from game. Self if you have it off in vanilla you can still get Dust Bunnies + Dust Piles and buffs.

Addition: Your sims will always be sniffing the floor if they enter the house or change floor. Its annoying, so no, I would not recommend buying this kit if you don’t use mods, not in this state. With mods you can tweak it all. I only use this kits with mods, in my vanilla game i have some of this bugs : Still has effects... ,Community lots get dirty , Rage Cleaning
