When "resetting the electronic arts folder" you mean you deleted the folder located in Documents and so the localthumbcache.package file also was deleted?
Or do you mean you reinstalled game or something?
Sorry, I meant that I deleted the sims 4 folder inside the Electronic Arts folder. I do have a backup though.
