Actors not getting option to practise romantic scenes.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.70.84.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except Eco Lifestyle (uninstalled) Col Kitchen, Spooky Stuff, Movie Hangout, Kids Room, Fitness, Toddler, Laundry Day, My First Pet, Tiny Living, Paranormal.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Forgive me. I really have no clue!
What happens when the bug occurs? My actors, level 10 all, can't prep for their gigs by performing the Romantic Scene. All I get showing up in the options is Sci-fi Scenes or Action scenes.
What do you expect to see? An option to do any acting prep taks that is required of my sim.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I've had this bug a long time, and have been skipping certain gigs so that I can avoid the romantic prep.  Not good when I got get famous to get my sims into the acting career.  I've removed mods, but there's still no option either on the sim itself or another sim.  Sorry if this issue has been posted before, but I did a search and there doesn't seem to be one befitting of my problem.  Thank you for your help, if you can.

    @Psychotps Just to let you know, and I'll post this on the other thread I created, I have found that having more than 3 members of the household in the acting career stops the romantic and horror actions. I had added a 4th actor and only one had a gig lined up, but no options for romantic or horror. So is this by design? I'd really like to find out from a Dev here. So to clarify, only 3 actors allowed in one household. Thanks again.

    Just to add, I've now had to get all my actors to quiet their jobs. This has made me very sad today, but they will not be able to get awards if they miss their prep tasks, so it's pointless :'(

    @Gednaa Is your sim's acting SKILL at least level 3? That's the level you get that option at.

    Plus, the normal romance restrictions apply... Like a young adult/adult can't use that on a teen or family member.

    Mods might mess with it also. You may want to try it without mods. (Take care not to SAVE when your mods are removed.)

    @Psychotps Thanks but my sims are all level 10, win awards for the gigs we CAN do, but we can't do any gigs with romantic preps. I've removed mods and played, but still the same without a save. All young adults. Can't even get the romantically involved to carry out the tasks. Nor married couples. I save, then take out my mods and try again, but it's still the same. It means I'm so limited to which gigs I can do, and I Don't think that's going to be good for their career. I may just try not going all the preps and see if things will work and we get awarded. I've noticed that the ones I haven't prepped for never get awards, so it seems a waste of time (especially as acting gigs don't pay that well!). Thanks for your response. 🙂. Just to clarify I save before mods are removed so that I can test and put them back in and my sims have no idea about it! :D. I thought I had this game pretty well sussed, but this problem is soooo bad!

    @Gednaa Well, it's definitely not a problem with the game. The acting career is one of my favorites and I've never had that problem.

    If you removed the mods, cleared the cache, and its STILL doing it, then I'd say your save is bad. No real way you can fix that.

    Does it do it on a new save?

    @Psychotps Thanks, I'll give that a try. I even reinstalled the whole game two days ago and still the problem is there. I'll try what you said and get back to you. Thanks again! 🙂

    @Gednaa Wooaahh! I just got one of my sims to join the acting career again, chose Melodies of the City and before taking out all my mods, I was compelled to try once more to do the romantic scene with another sim in the house. And there were all options there, not just action and Sci-fi!!??? So I'm guessing it must have been that I had too many actors in the career as all 8 sims were actors before today. Weird! The Plot Thickens. So now, my sim is all prepped for his gig! Yay!! Wondering if there is a limit on how many sims in your household you can have in the acting career. Really would like to find out. Anyone know? Thanks, my friend. You bought my day to a nice end! 🙂

    @GednaaYou had all 8 sims in the same acting career? At the same time? Wow. I have no idea how the game would handle that. I've played the career dozens of times but never more than one per household.

    Just curious, what happened this time? You tried a sim in a different house?

    @PsychotpsHiya! No same house, just one actor, same sims and it all just worked! Mystery to me! Yes it was hard with all 8 acting in one household, TBH, so I'm going to test and see how many I can get in the career before it bites back again! I'll find out the limit. Determined now! I had to get more mics and chairs at PBP Lounge to cater for us all at the Starlights. We packed the place out! We still shall next Sunday after Locke Faraday's gig. We also get awards for music and Daniel gets tons for books he wrote (sims) years ago! Weird, he's acted his socks off but never got an award and earned a gold every gig he did. We have over 200 awards between us! No room for them all! I keep them in my inventory and marvel at how hard my sims work! When they're not acting, they're burning the dance floor at Discotheque Pan Europa. Daniel overthrew the leader of Spin Masters, Dominic Fyres. Ruthless? Me?? Hee hee!     @Gednaa Ha! Person after my own heart. I can't tell you how many times I did just that in the Sims 1 and 2. Pushing the boundaries of the game to see what it was capable of. My experiments were mainly genetics and parenthood. "How many times can I breed an alien with a human before there's no trace of alien left?"

    Haha!  Love it that you do that too!  how far can we take this!??  That's a cool idea, to keep breeding aliens with humans... so how long does it take to remove all alien traces?  :D. Meanwhile, back in the acting career...   So, I got 2 actors into the career.  Both got all the options for performing scenes.  Added a third, got him a gig - No Options!!!!    So it seems that you can only have two actors in the acting career in the same household, unless you want to skip the prep tasks for certain gigs, or choose a suitable gig that you can do.  I'm not a happy bunny about this.  I think I'll have to just put the two Best Actors into the career.  Kahana and Boone.  Shame, we never got less than gold at all our many, many gigs.  Well that's that established, peeps.  No more than two actors in one household.  In fact I think I'll start a new thread to warn people. And thanks again.  You got my brain in gear to do some experimenting. 🙂
