@WingedSnek Hello! I'm pretty sure the issue is with the overhead light. For a short wall room with a raised floor, the light you used hangs too low for adult sims to stand or walk under.
If you use a light with a smaller profile, your adults will be able to walk under it.
Your other options might be to use wall lights instead, to raise the wall height to medium or lower the floor. I hope this helps!
