Aging up in 2 days with newly created sim

Help!!! I just recently opened my sims game after not playing for over a year. My issue is my newly created young adult sim is only 2-3 days away from aging up into an adult the very first game play day. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Here's a few workarounds you could try. You can turn off aging in the menu. Alternatively, if you let her age up, and then want her to go back to being a young adult, you can do it with reward / satisfaction points:

    1. First hit CTRL + SHIFT + C to open the cheat console.
    2. Now type "testingcheats on" without the quotation marks, hit enter.
    3. Now type "sims.give_satisfaction_points 90000"

    4. Now you will have 90,000 points to spend in the Rewards Store and you can buy the Age-Down Potion. (or replace 90,000 with a lower number - you only need 1,500 points for the age-down potion)

Another method would be to change her age in CAS by doing this:

    1. Type CTRL + SHIFT + C to open the cheat console.
    2. Now type "testingcheats on" without the quotation marks, hit enter.
    3. Now type "cas.fulleditmode" without the quotation marks, hit enter.

    4. Now you can Shift + click on your Sim and choose Edit in CAS Mode and you can set her age as Young Adult (or whatever you want).

  • I've had this problem as well. I went through and updated my mods and found out that the Lifespan mod by simularity caused the problem. Do you maybe have this mod downloaded? If not, it may be other mods that can alter lifespans.
