All households totally gone
I opened the game the other day and one of my saves seems to be corrupted. All of my builds are there but no sims, and household manager is completely empty. I have already: removed mods recovered...

I just had this happen to me yesterday. Like you, all my builds and homes are still there, but all families are missing, including the default ones. Not a single Sim is in the Household Manager.
I've turned off CC and removed mods, but no luck.

I had tried that as well, but the only backups were from earlier that night (when households were already gone) or from February 1.
@Galbi4Life Then I'm sorry to say, you might have to go all the way back to February 1. You could however check OneDrive for any copies of Sims 4 saves. Even if you never use it, OneDrive might have synced some data, and maybe you'll get lucky.
