Can anyone recommend a good and working musician career mod if I wanted to play a singer sim/rockstar sim? I would use the EA music career but that branch seems to just be a classical pianist. That's not the gameplay I want for my sim. Thanks!
Road to Fame! That's the one I use. It's a bit broken inasmuch as not all of its features work as intended, but Sacrificial says it won't hurt your game. I use his Alternative Road to Fame Street Dancer version: VO.5.B2. Sometimes, the concerts and photoshoots will give a 12 hour window instead of a mere 6 hours, which is why I like that one.
It works very well with Get Famous. In fact, under options make certain you set both to enabled. My Sim made it to Global Superstar in 8 Sim days, once. He worked his little Teen fanny off during the summer break I gave them via MCCC.
ETA: Don't forget that handy-dandy drone. Use it when your Sim is out and about trying to make a name for themselves. It's crucial. Also, set up the Simstagram Account and update it. There is a way to have them do it automatically via RTF.

Because not all of the features are working as intended. See my above remarks. I use it and my game is perfectly fine.
ETA: Just make certain if you do download it you put it into ITS OWN FOLDER, inside your MODS folder. His mods don't like to mingle, you see. Plus, it makes it easier to pull it if you need to.
