Apply lotion animation not working

Does anyone know how to fix the apply lotion animation for mac users? Typically when you click "apply lotion" your sim will perform an animation with a bottle of lotion showing them applying it to themselves, but when I click it there's no animation, the ash just disappears. It's not a big deal, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone knows why or how to fix it.
