Hi!
I am not new to modding with the sims but the other day none of my mods were working. I went through the typical process of checking that mods were enabled and that no mods were broken. Two days before this happened, all my mods were working just fine and I hadn't changed or added any mods.
With all of that checked, I tried deleting my mods folder, launching the game, quitting the game, and then putting my mods folder back in. Still, the game would not load in any mods. I did the same thing but didn't add the mods folder back in. The Sims did not create a new mod folder, even when the game was ran and played for a little bit. I tried quitting the game and adding my mods folder back in again. Still didn't work. The game worked fine but no mods would show up. So, I deleted my mods folder, uninstalled Sims and the EA app and reinstalled the game and there is no mods folder under documents/ea/sims. No mods folder exists.
Because that seemed weird, I launched the game without a mods folder, created a super fast save so the game had time to load and install everything, and then I quit the game because I assumed Sims would recreate the mods folder. Nope, still no mods folder. I tried to then put the mods folder back and launching the game and still nothing would be recognized.
My computer is up to date, mods are enabled in game, this issue has been happening for a few days so yes, my computer had been turned on and off again lol, and I've even deleted and reinstalled the game entirely multiple times. Mods are enabled in my game settings, too, so it's not that. In my trial and error, I would check the mods list in game from settings and, even when there were items in my mods folder that I know work and are currently working for my friends, no mods would be listed.
Help?

@eveenings I've merged your post with the master thread for issues with using mods. It sounds like you're not adding the mods to the folder Sims 4 is reading. Here's how to find that folder:

Compare the file path there to the one where you're looking for a Mods folder. The two need to match exactly, for example if one is in OneDrive and the other is not, that would explain the problem. You should also find an empty Mods folder in the location the game is reading.
