I've recently started playing Sims 4 and I've been researching tirelessly how to use mods/cc to make my sim look better and my experience overall to my liking. I have placed my downloads into the Sims 4 mods folder, I have enabled cc/script mods in my sims 4 settings, I have searched and searched for updated content or close to updated content, but still my downloads has failed to show up in my Sims 4. I have more than enough storage and my One drive is syncing correctly, I'm honestly assuming it's the cc I am downloading because I recently had an update (again) so of course there are no cc up tp date with it? I'm not sure. I just need some help and every where I look, I read and hear the same things and it never works.
@z4ntyiit really depends on what mod types.. 🙂
Your folder should look like this:
If a mod has 'tray' files they ( tray ) do need be in there.
BIG THING to remember is that mods cannot be more than 2 folders deep.
IE: Mods \ whatever \ whatever
BEST IS: Mods \ whatever mod
I ve seen a lot of mods not work if more that BEST IS
I WOULD REMOVE ALL MODS FROM ONE DRIVE as the auto sync can screw with mods / updates to mods / and changes.
Put them on hard drive base DOCUMENTS
( you can move them later, but that is a different issue to deal with all together on how done )
Here is a guide reference also

@ErykaNeko (and @z4ntyi and anyone else reading this who may be confused)
This is NOT what a default Sims 4 folder should look like. The following folders shown in your screenshot are not part of the default user data, they are user created, and as such should be ignored by anyone reading this:
To clarify, the following four folders are nothing to do with the game, are not created as part of the Sims 4 folder, and are completely unnecessary. Do not expect them to recreate in your Sims 4 folder :
mod_data mod_documentation mod_logs Tray Files
Thankfully the game will ignore them but it is bad practice to add user created files and folders to a default game generated folder which serves as the bedrock of the player's individual gaming experience. Not to mention it bloating the Sims 4 folder unnecessarily.
