Baby not in it's bassinet {defunct}

I am playing the sims 4 for windows. I was playing with my sims family and the father was managing the crying baby, he changed it's diaper and fed it. I think I also had him cuddle it. Well he left for work immediately after, along with the wife(the wife left first), and I instructed them both to work hard(I did the wife first). After this I switched to my child sim and I intended to have him perform some interactions with the baby. I promptly discovered the baby was not in the bassinet. It's not anywhere. I went to manage worlds without saving and came back, baby not there. I haven't reloaded the game yet because I don't want to lose my progress. I will continue playing and see if it shows back up, or if it ages up and reappears. It's birthday is one sim day away. I figured I'd post here to inform others of this bug. Edit, More info: The baby still shows in the hot-bar along with the other family members. Additionally, when I hover the bassinet the baby's name and relationship status with the selected sim does appear. And when I select the baby on the hot bar It takes me to the bassinet. But still the baby is not there. No interactions can be performed. I have tried moving the bassinet in build-buy mode but that did not fix it.

Edit, again: I tried to leave the baby at home so it would be forced to go to daycare, but it didn't go to daycare(the option never showed up to send it to daycare or hire a nanny). And when my sim returned the baby was still not there.

Final edit: Nevermind. This is a defunct post. Apparently the sims 4 recognizes a child shouldn't be baby sitting it's baby sibling. The baby has returned from daycare after being automatically sent.
