Some sort of superhero trait maybe? I think of Dash from The Incredibles.
Here's some brainstorming:
Would it be more than one trait or just one? Different traits for different powers, maybe.
Keeping in mind we're limited on how creative we can get, visually.
Speed is already doable, we know that.
Setting things on fire is doable, at least within the build mode outline of a lot (otherwise requires making a new fire object - I think Sacrificial did this at one point, but I don't know how to myself)
Some sort of lightning strike is doable with seasons.
Perhaps more importantly though, what would make a sim feel like a superhero? Probably having things to fight against.
So we'd probably need some sort of implementation of crime. I think the most feasible way I can think to do this would be opposing traits that belong to a Supervillain category and are CAS traits, with a few autonomous interactions, so they can be applied randomly to sims in your game.
Then we build some autonomous evil powers. It would need to be things that are noticeable on a visual level, so that the superhero player can fight against them.
For example, Supervillain uses a lightning strike on another sim and knocks them out. You notice and send your Superhero to fight them.
How might fighting work? A fighting animation might not work, unless we just use some variation on the vampire fighting one, that looks closer to superhuman fighting.
We could try to set up a series of interactions that play out together with a little more active-play. That MIGHT be doable with the interaction system.
Example: You lock into "battle" with Supervillain. You two sit in idle, waiting. You click on them and choose a fight interaction, such as setting them on fire. They get set on fire for a few seconds, some strength buff of theirs goes down, then they attack you. This goes for a few turns until one of you is defeated. If the Supervillain loses, they get a debuff making them unable to use their powers for a day or two. If you lose, you get a similar kind of debuff.
