Unfortunately still the same thing - perhaps I just have too much CC.

You shouldn’t have any CC n the game if you have followed the instructions in the link.

I meant previously. When I start a clean file everything runs fine, it's as soon as I start adding in ANY CC at all. Even just one CC file.

  Ok, thanks for confirming a vanilla game works. Hopefully someone more familiar with CC/Mods will be able to help you further.

    Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Mods
    Then they all go in there as package files, there are no zipped files or any other file types in there. Any lots/sims go into the Tray directly, no sub-folders.
    I used to use the TSR downloader but it started messing up for me since this issue started so I uninstalled it.
