This is recently happens to me. After the latest update few days ago, I think this 'holiday_service' error or 'Exception in Sim Timeline: Exception running Element (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'time_off_work')' is the reason why my substitute teacher (teaching career) sim continually not going to work on the workday.
simsblast Is this the KiaraSims mod? It was updated last month. Make sure you're on the current version.

I updated the mods but I ended up deleting all custom career mods from kiarasims, but the error still occurs in both conditions. also, i found the culprit. it's the lot51_sunrise preventing my sim to go to work. i connected the dots from my better exception report and the mod description
Update the mod and make sure you don't have conflicts and have all dependencies up to date. It's not got known issues.
