Why were you not updating? It may resolve your issue. That's the first troubleshooting step to rule out conflicts with the program.

Please do a "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving. If you still have issues vanilla, please post to Gameplay Issues. If you need help with mods after that, please start a new topic.
