MODS and the GRIM REAPER REWARDS EVENT

(revised Oct. 9)

Because a number of mods appear to be interfering with the Grim Reaper Rewards Event, and because of some other issues not related to mods, Crinrict recommends playing through the Rewards Event after creating a fresh user folder. (When I’m swapping user folders like this, I rename the user folders something like “The Sims 4 Regular Gameplay” and “The Sims 4 Reward Event” so I don’t lose track.) You can also hold off starting the event for now to see if a patch comes out for the non-mod-caused problems.

For Better BuildBuy users: If you have Better BuildBuy, first turn off “organized debug” or after you remove the user folder, run a Game Repair.  

For players leaving mods in: See the Known Issues below.

For any players, mod players or non: If you pause the game, unpause and let the game run for a few seconds before doing things like save, exit, change lots, or go into CAS.

Known Issues for the Grim Reaper Reward Event

Launching:

• Frankk – No Discovery Quests – blocks Rewards Event from starting
  
• Simmatically – Refreshed Main Menu – blocks Rewards Event function on main page – UPDATED
• TwistedMexi – TOOL Mod – blocks Rewards Event on main page  – UPDATED
  

Live mode UI: Fixed in the October 1 patch for mod-related causes

• Deaderpool – MC Command Center – the setting to pause lot on load can trigger blank Event UI – CLEARED
• Scumbumbo – Always Start Lots Paused – CLEARED
  

Flower quest

• Midiar – Cheap Harvestables – interferes with the flower quest
• TwistedMexi – BetterBuildBuy – interferes with the flower quest – UPDATED. If you just removed the mod instead of updating and you  nd you didn't turn off "organized debug" before removing mod, run a Game Repair to reset organized debug.
• Waffle – Gardening Project – interferes with the flower quest – UPDATED
• PandaSama – Beautiful Garden+ Lovely Florist Mod – interferes with the flower quest

Other Issues

• BosseladyTV – NPCO – interferes with Expedite mail delivery (but sorry, this isn't the looping mailperson problem, or the reading the newsletter not fulfilling problem)
