Bug - The game won't let me play any households

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.79.93.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs, City Living, Cottage Living, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Get Famous, Get to Work, Get Together, Island Living, Seasons, Snowy Escape, Dine Out, Jungle Adventure, Outdoor Retreat, Parenthood, Realm of Magic, Spa Day, Strangerville, Vampires, Kids Room Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Paranormal Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Spooky Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? As soon as I select a household to play it either sends me back to the select a neighborhood screen or to a loading screen that never ends.
What happens when the bug occurs? As soon as I select a household to play it either sends me back to the select a neighborhood screen or to a loading screen that never ends. It also removed a lot of my Cats and Dogs furniture. The game is essentially unplayable for me.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to play my households with all of my furniture.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I just downloaded the latest update and once I opened my save it removed a lot of the Cats and Dogs furniture and wouldn't allow me to play any families. I tried playing with a personally made family at first and every time I hit the play button it brought me back to the select a neighborhood screen. The second family I tried to play just kept me stuck on a loading screen. The game is just unplayable for me right now and I'm upset because I was really excited for this update to Spa Day.

    @ImaAlleeAnn The script call failed is usually caused by an outdated mod such as mods by basemental. Are you sure you removed all your mods and deleted the localthumbcache file (found in documents).

    To fix the game, right click on the game in Origin and then choose repair game (make sure the game is closed).

    Did you travel to any festival or plan a mountain excursion at any point ?

    Are you getting an error message or just going back to the map ?

    No, I did no traveling at all. I received one error message telling me that my furniture was removed. I did not receive a message when it sent me back to the the map.

    @ImaAlleeAnn Does C&D still show properly installed in your game ? Do you have the content that was removed if you check build mode/CAS ?

    Did you try repairing the game through Origin yet ?

    Do you have issues if you start a new save for testing purposes ?

    I just checked build mode again to make sure. Everything is listed there, but when I try and place anything it says, "Failed to compute cost" and "Script call failed. I. All my pets are still there and CAS items. I can create new pets and use all of the clothing. Its just build mode items.

    I started a new game yesterday to see if I could get around the issue and was stuck on a loading screen for well over ten minutes. I ended up exiting the game before seeing if it would ever load.

    I've never tried fixing the game through Origin. Do you mind if I ask how to do that?
