Build Mode is Acting Weird

Whenever I exit build mode all the changes I made go away but, my funds reflect those changes that I made, I hope that makes sense. I have saved the game before leaving build mode. I have Mods and CC...

    @SuperiorFrog685 Hello!  It's a good idea to test the game without mods / CC.  You can move the mods folder to your desktop for safekeeping.  Then delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder before opening the game for testing.  A new, empty mods folder will auto generate.  If you find the game is working properly, then you'll know it's a mods / CC issue.  If you still find you're losing your BB changes without mods.  Try a game repair by exiting the game, then right-clicking on the game in Origin and selecting Repair.  Then allow the repair to run on all packs.

    If it is a mods/CC issue then I suggest testing them a little bit at a time.  You probably want to create a new game for testing. If you have a lot of mods/CC, then try this process to test them.

    1. Divide your mods/CC in half (maybe make a folder on your desktop to hold the half you're taking out)

    2. Delete the localthumbcache.package file again, before opening the game with the half you're testing 

    3. If the game works with that half, test with the other half. (Again, delete that cache file before opening)

    4. Once you know which half is causing the issue, divide those in half and test again (delete the cache file again).

    5. Repeat the process until you find the culprit.

    It can be a bit time consuming but it will be worth it to fix your game.  Hope this helps!

Hey @JonaO703, So I moved the mods folder to my desktop and deleted the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder before opening the game for testing. I did find that it was a mods problem currently going through your steps to figuring it out. I will comment back saying which mod to let people know in the future! Thank you so much for your help, let the tediousness begin! LOL
