Butler not in uniform

Anyone have new insight on a butler not wearing the uniform?
I found one post from 2017 but missed any others there might be.
There are lots of posts on the butlers not doing their job which I have some issues with this too (like cleaning up dishes) but mostly I just want the butler not in their swimsuit.

    @mrstank30 Did the butler show up like this the first time or just switch into it at some point and never switch back ?

    @crinrict yeah he showed up initially in uniform (the first butler) and then changed to winter wear. Never changed back. Then he randomly disappeared from the butler job, and even though he was still there another butler showed up (the one shown). She was dressed in uniform for a while too. Then she kept trying to go swimming and would stand in position in her swimsuit, lol. She changed to regular clothes a few times, then kept trying to swim. She also never really did any work. At one point she vacuumed for what seemed like a million years. Then my sim came and mopped the spot at the same time, it finally was cleaned up and she stopped.

    I am currently testing mods but it takes a while. So far I haven't determined if it is a mod at all or what mod it could be. I play with minimal mods and no CC currently. I've had trouble with butlers for ages even without mods and just gave up until just this weekend when I tried again.

    @mrstank30 It could be a game issues if she changed into swim wear at one point. Maybe moving out the family and moving back in helps ? Try on a backup

    I have this issue too. Goth household had a butler for a while, no issues, she did her job and wear her uniform, recently I noticed she is not wearing her uniform. I just loaded in my game and she was wearing a random full body outfit with the butler shoes... it is not her own everyday outfit or else... its supposed to be her uniform but its wrong.

    @Francoisf30 Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Move (not copy) the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
