Can’t Edit Sims

Recently, I’ve been having this problem  where I go to create a new sim. In the bottom left corner the first sim slot has a red X, and when i try to click on that sim, it does not work. Then I click on  Add a new sim and it still won’t work.It won’t let me select any aspirations even if i click on the dice.

Please could someone help me i just want to play sims without any problems 😢
