Can’t play the game, only build and make simmers

Hello

I have a problem with playing the game. I can build houses and make simmers in cas but as soon as I’ve picked out a house for them, the first problem appears. I can’t choose the option “furnished” on the houses I’ve build myself, and when I choose to bulldoze the lot and put the house in from gallery, it says that there’s an error and that I should relaunch the game.

Another problem is, that when I’ve moved a sim into a home from gameplay and press play, the sim doesn’t show up.

I’ve been playing with cc and mods for years and have read through a bunch of the threads on here, that said that I should reinstall sims, which I’ve done but as soon as I add my mods again, it doesn’t work. I’ve tried to delete some of the mods where it worked but when I restarted the game it wasn’t t working again

Have any of you tried that and what can I do to fix it?

xx

  • @nayaguld Test with no mods or CC:  Move (not copy) the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, then open the game to test.

This will tell you if a mod/CC is the cause. You can use Broken/Updated Mods & CC to find many affected by the pre-Lovestruck patch. If you have complex mods, it can be a good idea to delete and reupdate, carefully checking the instructions to make sure you aren't missing files.
