You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
Are you getting any error messages when taken back to the map ?
I’m getting no error messages. It’s going from Home Screen to map, then I try to load in my game then back to map. In this loop. I tried everything and it didn’t fix.
I have the same problem - after the update I can't play the game at all. Every time I want to travel from my house to another lot, the game starts to load and goes back to the neighbourhood selection with no household selected. I pick the family I'm playing with again, and it just returns to the house. So I'm stuck.
It got even worse when my sims went to work (acting career) and I pressed "go with". The studios never opened. I was just back at the world/neighbourhood selection. When I again selected the family and the sim that went to work it started loading and again - back to the neighbourhood selection page with no family selected for play. I restarted the game and got the sims back to the house, so now she's not in a void somewhere, but the problem occurs every single time. So I can't play the game at all. Please fix this ;__;
