Can’t feed pets, or activate/use many items

@dillon7272   Hello!  I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with your game.  Is this happening for an existing household and lot that you renovated?  Does it also happen for other lots and households?  Perhaps try creating a new save game to test?

Hello, I created a new household on a new lot and the same issue.

Also like when I bring my Sim to a public area like the gym it can’t actually click on them, they can only use it in autopilot. 

Also, I got a notification that I got mail (in the sim household mailbox outside the door), but I can’t even open the mail. There’s no interaction when I click on the mailbox.

but my Sims still walk around fine, can cook food and sleep and shower. But even some social interactions between them don’t work. My Sims also can’t even interact with the dog… or any dogs in the neighborhood.

Hello, I followed the directions. When I created a new game after doing all of that, the new game did work... the new Sims could interact with pets, with their mailbox, more interactions with each other, etc. But when I go back to load the old game I had put in the backup folder, it's still the same issue when it loads.

I guess I will need to delete that game and start over. But I really put effort into the Sims I created. Is there a way to save those Sims to the cloud, and then bring back their models for a new game?

@dillon7272   Good to know you were able to get your game working.  It sounds like that other save got corrupted somehow.  You should be able to salvage your sims and any lots you created by copying and pasting the Tray folder from the backup TS4 folder (your olld one) to the new TS4 folder.
