@ld82adqhena4 Yes, Reshade should work equally well (or poorly) when you've installed from the EA App. Where the instructions say to open the Origin Games folder, they're referencing the default install location for Sims 4. If you originally installed the game (on this computer) through the EA App, the default location is this instead:
Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4
Substitute that location when necessary, and otherwise follow the same instructions. If that doesn't work, let me know.
When I put in that file it didn't pop up unfortunately. When i open the reshade setup list and browse games for it install on i put in that file name and it didnt work. is there something i could be missing?

@ld82adqhena4 Please post a screenshot of the Reshade files you've added, as in, I'd like to see the contents of that folder. Make sure to include the address bar, above the list of files and folders, in the screenshot.

I’m having a similar problem, I won’t accept the address for \documents\electronic arts\ the sims 4,
Usually tutorials I see say
origin\sims 4\the game\bin for reshade, however with the ea, idk it just says it’s invalid for the latter?? It won’t even use it

@RabbitsFeet99 The Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts holds user data, for example saves and mods. The program files are stored in an entirely separate folder. For a Steam install, the default location is this:
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
The Sims 4 folder inside common is where you need to look for Game and then Bin, and subsequently place your Reshade files.
