Can I make a new mods folder

Can I make a new mod folder? I downloaded the Sims 4 to my new laptop and the mod folder is not there in the sims folder. I have made sure mods are activated on the game itself, and restarted it. I a...

You are looking at the game files.
You should be looking at the user files as you can see in @JonaO703 screenshot.

what do you mean? this would be the only place for a mod folder + its the only sims 4 folder as by the top. Pc-acer-programs-ea games-sims 4
