Can I work the same work after dying?

Can I work the same work after dying?
Plus the position. My sim died of laughing and he was a tech guru - Dot-Com Pioneer. Now he is alive thanks to ambrosia but doesn't have any jobs. When I try to work tech guru and the option isn't there. Is there any way to work the same work not from the begining?

    Oh, I'm so dumb. When you start it at first it's just Tech Guru and now it was my last position name so I didn't see it.

    But I started as startup entrepreneur, not as my last position. I would cheat and promote him.
