Cannot change sim/plan outfit

The sims loading screen loads forever. I think this has to do with the new patch because I didn’t start having issues until then (like the world select glitch). I took out my mods folder to bypass the glitch and when i put it back, I cant seem to change my sim or plan outfits. I removed my mods but that didn’t seem to be the issue. Does cc break the game as well? How can I play with my cc I really don’t care about the mods themselves anymore lol.
