Please help urgent - I am getting very distressed as this is a trigger issue for me in my past (as my own experiences as a child) My parents will not feed their toddler - they just refuse/ignore the requests. I reset the game so there is not a conflicting queue I have reset the household several times and still we are on the fourth time that this family have had their child taken into care. Why won;t they feed their toddler. Please help. I have sepnt five hours trying to get them to feed the toddler now today - the third time i have spent as many hours Please help.

For the immediate fix, you can use the "make happy" cheat to fill your toddlers' needs so they aren't taken away. On the keyboard press Ctrl + Shift + C and enter the code testingcheats on then press Shift and click your toddler. Look for "Cheat Need" and the "Make Happy" option.

The actions queue but disappear before completed (tho not change nappy or clean but yes bathe or feed). Or the parent engages but then abandons the action without completing.
Have tried to take the toddler to another house but again the child was removed before anyone there could feed them.

When you dragged the food to your toddler, was it a full meal? And did you have the toddler grab a serving? Does the toddler cancel that action?
Edit: After doing a bit more research and reviewing your post (along with others having similar issues), I'm convinced the issue is autonomy. It's possible others may disagree with me but I wonder if you might disable autonomy for as long as it takes to get the toddlers aged up. There are known issues across multiple posts indicating sims interrupt actions to complete other autonomous whims. This includes toddlers. Even if you manage to direct a sim to feed the toddler, the toddler may gain his or her own whim which can also interrupt the action. So, my advice is to go into your settings and disable the gameplay autonomy. Basically, from the triple-dot settings menu, select Game Options then Gameplay and set autonomy to Off, as well as check the box to disable autonomy for the active sim. This will prevent those whims that interrupt directed actions. This way your adult / teen sims complete care actions that you direct and toddlers complete eating and other actions. Of course, that means you have to direct your sims to do other things but only until the toddlers age up. Then, hopefully, you can re-enable autonomy and sims will care for themselves. Now feeding or giving a drink to the toddlers in that household are not an option. Which is ok. But I have the cheat to solve some issues. It may have been the pregnant mam /new baby plus I had two Moses Baskets somehow.
Interestingly this family - parents - is not aging at the same rate as the siblings of which she, the mam, is the oldest of the five the others of whom, bar one are now elders. ``````

@DizzyDizzyDiana Yes, pregnant Sims don't age. They also can't die, but the main reason I think is that they don't want the mother to age out of being a valid age to have a baby (or worse, die of old age!).
And @mdpq47ozynb7 the high chairs are just ridiculously frustrating and buggy! I've stopped using them, FWIW. I put a plate on a kitchen counter or table and ask the toddler to grab a serving.
As for the parents caring for the toddler (or not), yes, alas, your Sim parents, especially if they're on different floors (or there are a lot of platforms in the house) have a tendency to drop their queues, or get distracted (especially by objects like basketball hoops, yoga mats, dancing...). It's like "feed the toddler, sure, let me go grab... SQUIRREL!!!!!" As others have suggested, it's probably an autonomy/AI problem. I love playing with autonomy on, but also they can frustrate you that way. Alas.
Toddlers are frustrating in the game, but if you get all their skills up you get some of the best bonuses in the game, so....
