Cannot load family
I have tried removing my caches, taking out my saves and mods, and even restarting my game. I cannot load my saves. It takes me straight to the manage worlds screen when I try and load my game and ev...
I have done all that. This is what I did
1.updated my mods
2.updated the game
3. Reinstalled my mods
when I couldn’t play….
4. Removed saves and mods
5. Repaired the game
6. moved my last save back in
when it didn’t work still
7. Moved my save out
8. uninstalled the sims 4 and all expansion packs
9. reinstalled it
when it still didn’t work
10. Uninstalled and reinstalled origin
11. after uninstalling the sims 4 I reinstalled it
12. repaired the game
13. made sure my mods were still updated but not in the folder
14. moved one save back in
and in the process, deleted the cache and everything
and it still doesn’t work
and now I moved it all back in because I’m frustrated. Even while doing all that I still couldn’t even see the greyed out version of copperdale. It’s not even on the manage world screen at all
@PCBmomma
But you didn’t move the entire Sims 4 folder out of the Electronic Arts folder, you just moved out some cache files and mods. At least, in that list of what you have tried you haven’t stated that you did that.
Basic and simplest troubleshooting is moving or renaming the Sims 4 folder then repairing the game before launching the game and starting a brand new save to see if it still happens.
You’re also saying you’ve deleted cache files but which ones? Origin cache files?
please humour me and move out or rename the Sims 4 folder, then repair, then launch the game.

@Bluebellflora Why do that when I’ve stated that I even uninstalled and re installed origin AND the sims 4 at least twice now. It doesn’t make sense. And yes I deleted all the cache files from origin. This patch really screwed up my game.
Because the game and the Sims 4 folder where your saves etc. are stored are two completely separate entities. The problem isn’t with your game installation, it’s most likely something in your Sims 4 folder, probably mod related which is the most common cause of this problem if it happens with all your saves (yes, even if you have cleared out Mods). It may be that Mods have screwed up a save which is why starting completely clean with a vanilla folder and testing just ONE save is the best troubleshooting.
I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want to try that?
Moved to the Game and Mod issues board. This is not a Mac tech. issue.
There is DEFINITELY something wrong with this stupid patch because I haven't done anything differently, and now when I try to restart the game, all worlds that are not purchased are now missing, whereas before only the high school was missing. This was after exiting the game, restarting it, exiting the game, restarting it, and each time the result is different? What are you doing Maxis?!
Same!!! I haven't been able to do anything. And I followed the same steps recommended for you as well. Still, nothing will load. And now the game has actually started to freeze on startup something that has NEVER happened before.
