Cannot make sims parents even in full edit mode

I have a save file in my game. I made a bunch of familes and have been able to swap sims to make my sims the child of or brother of another family. Reccently I have not been able to do that which ...

They are still on the gallery under The Vallamin's and The Vallamin-Grayham's

From your descriptions I gather you want to make the two households related ?

    @CBWriter22 Seems there are parents in the family tree. Just not visible from the parents themselves only from the children's view.
