cant bathe my toddler

To start with I do not have any mods or cc. I am having an issue where I am unable to bathe my toddler! Every time I try to the bubble with the feet and the circle with the line threw it appears and my sim cancels the action.

I have tried moving the bath, I have tried making the bathroom bigger, I have as well tried buying multiple tubs to see if that was the problem and nothing seems to be working. Both my toddle and I are able to enter the bathroom separate. The same thing happens when I try to put my toddler to bed. Again we can both enter the bedroom separate but I can not pick her up to put her in her bed to sleep.
