Can't buy retail lots

Hi, I get this issue too.  For every single retail lot in the game, I get the error, "Sims can only purchase unowned retail stores or unoccupied residential lots". It doesn't matter whether it is a p...

Did you try the workaround @kaelykay posted on the page before ?

Willing to share your save game ?

If so, please zip up this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves, upload to mediafire or dropbox and PM me the link.

    Yep, the workaround also worked for me.  (Sorry, I did mean to reply to my post, must've gotten sidetracked 🙂)

    @crinrict I am having this same issue in my game right now cannot buy my retail lot I  placed not sure what to do please help.

      @crinrict I figured out why we cannot buy the lots we place when we have cc mods in our game you have to go to the computer and click household and buy what ever it is you placed that way. let me know if it works for you all xoxo.

      @VGirlSims Change the type of lot you want to buy to a residential building, and buy a finished building, then in build mode change the type of lot to a retail store.

        @Aledreon yes I did this too but it still didn't work so I went to my computer and bought the lot that way and it worked.
