can't choose career

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.104.58.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use any method to select "Find a job".
What happens when the bug occurs? The career selection window is bugged. No careers are visible, the layout is wrong, there are hashtags where the salary should be, and the window is titled Career Selection Title.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to see and choose a career.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The bug might have occurred after installing For Rent, but I don’t know for sure because all the sims I’ve played with already had careers until now. I’ve repaired my game multiple times, tried with different households, and disabled mods. I checked all of my mods for updates beforehand.

    HI @LatteLlama 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

    @lattellama I had the exact same issue.
    It ended up being a mod script that messed my game up pretty bad and even after I followed the whole 'new folder' it did nothing for my game. I had to uninstall and reinstall my game (which mind you takes HOURS to do). The new pack is not liking the mods/ccs on top of causing some issues itself. All I can do is wait for mods/ccs to be updated or EA to catch on to the errors and apply more updates.

    thank you for your response! i followed all the steps and the bug still occurs without fail. I can also no longer open Skills, nor can I open sim-specific cheats (clicking my sim while holding Shift with cheats enabled does nothing). I am unable to drag items in live mode. Also, whenever I visit a lot that's not the home lot, my sims's picture and buffs disappear. Even once returning, the graphics are not there, the queue is shared between all of the sims in my household, it will not automatically snap to my sims when i double click on their profile, etc.
