Can't interact with objects or other Sims

I've had the game for 2 weeks, and it was working great untill this morning, but since this morning clicking on an object or another Sim does not open the interaction menue, making it impossible to tell the chosen Sim to do anything... All other things work fine (I can "grab" and move small objects like dishes or books with the mouse, open the menues on the top right of the screen, switch between the Sim's aspirations / work / traits / needs tabs etc. but nothing happens when I click on an object or another Sim). Reinstalling Sims4 did not solve the problem.

If you know anything about such an issue or how to solve it, please help...

Logging off my Windows account and logging back in solved the issue, thank you for your help 🙂

Logging off my Windows account and logging back in solved the issue, thank you for your help 🙂

What happens if you have a Mac? I just had my game updated, and now teens are able to do romantic actions. They were messing around, but now there is a huge lump in the bed and they move or get out. I’m canceling their actions and telling them to do other actions but they’re not doing anything. It shows that I canceled them with the x over the action but those actions won’t disappear. What do I do? Does it have anything to do with the update or my custom content?

are you using mods in your game ? If so, make sure they are updated to the current patch level or if they didn't get updated by the creator, remove them

a lot of custom content/mods is outdated and needs updating.

Hi, what if I’m having this issue on my ps4? I’ve tried restarting my game, restarting sims4. Nothing is working. After I received this “item removed” message, One of my sims wasn’t able to interact with anything or any other sim. I would really love some advice, this is getting annoying😩 please and thank you

Hi @awshesgorgeous,

The advise for an issue with modded content on PC so unlikely to be the same issue you're experiencing on console. It's best to not mix up the two in the one thread. Could you open a new thread >> here << and include what steps you've already tried to get the ball rolling.
