Can't open households (Mac)

Question

I think the title speaks for itself. Whenever I want to enter a household, I'm just being sent back to the worlds screen. So I can't open a single household even after repairing the game.

I uninstalled it, and am currently downloading it again because I read somewhere that it could help, or that my mods are the problem.

Is there anything I can do to fix it? Do I just have to give it up (which would be annoying, seeing as I've spent so much money on this game for it to be a waste).

@sarusmarie Please test without mods. Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents &gt; Electronic Arts &gt; The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.
