Can't play another sim in the household

I have a household of two sims and for some reason, I can only play one of them. I can interact with the other but I can't click on them on the bottom left and control them. It's almost like they're not from my household but they clearly are.

I made two new households and it's just the same thing, and it's always the second sim I make that I can't control. I think it might be a mod, but I have so many, I honestly don't have a clue which one it could be.

It most likely is, but is this a regular problem some people might have? I still haven't found a post anywhere about someone having a similar issue.

  • @42ro24 To find out if this problem is mod-related,  do a "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

If that works, your issue might be fixed by going through the lists in Broken/Updated Mods & CC . You might also have installation issues with a complex mod: many mods have multiple pieces, and you need to check the mod installation instructions for what to delete (if there are choices to make) and what to go get as well.

If it's not mod-related, you may need to have EA check you program files via a Game Repair in the EA App.

If you still have issues after this, please let me know.
