The new update on Jan 17th created a bug where every time you try to play a household, the game will show the loading screen but then click me to the worlds page every time. All mods are updated and I even tried to play without any custom content but the same problem occurred.

  • @HybridJay_12 Can I clarify a bit, in case I'm not understanding you fully?

    • Am I understanding correctly that this issue was not there until you updated your game on 1-17-23?
    • When you say that you tried to play without any custom content, do you also mean that you removed the Mods and the cache file?

Please try the following method of testing your game with the Mods folder removed along with the cache file mentioned, and see if the issue is still there... no need to save after confirming whether the issue is there, just to initially see if the issue is gone after following the directions. Then, if the issue is gone with the Mods folder moved to your desktop, you can do the rest of the troubleshooting to see which Mod or Custom content (CC) is/are causing the issue: (click spoiler tag for directions)

Try moving the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can test without saving in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue, then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
