Can't romance any sim

Since the new update I haven't had one successful romantic interaction. Even without choosing a romantic interaction the minus heart shows up and romance bar goes into red. I've tried multiple households and multiple sims with no luck. I've no mods and haven't done anything apart from the new update.

I've had this same exact issue, and on top of this, all sims also get angry at any attempt at a romantic interaction, regardless of how "friendly" a relationship they have with my sim; even if they're a part of the same household. Anyone have any suggestions?
