CAS Women unable wear masculine clothes but Men can wear feminine.
Hi! I've been playing the sims for a very long time (about 4-5 years!), but it appears I've encountered some form of glitch for the very first time after attempting to make a female sim with a masculine frame.
I have been able to put masculine clothes on female sims in the past and vice versa both CC and Maxis, but now I am unable to put ANY masculine clothing on my female sims at all. (Men wear feminine clothing just fine still). I recently added some new CC to the game, took them out as soon as I noticed the issue, but the issue persisted. I continued to remove ALL of the CC I had installed in the game, yet the issue is still persisting.
With this issue, if I click onto another sim while trying to put on a masculine shirt onto the female sim, I can no longer edit the female sim at all and her preview icon disappears into a loading symbol at the bottom that continues to load forever. If I exit create a sim as this goes on, ALL of the sims preview icons (next to their moodlet image disappear) and the select a sim icons at the bottom of the screen disappear or turn into loading symbols as well. If I then exit into manage worlds every household is now like this where their sim previews do not load. They do load in overworld still however.
The issue starts and ends with the female sims not being able to wear the masculine shirts though because it is only when I try this that everything else happens. There IS a work around to the clothing issues such as putting on any other clothing (pants, full body, etc) then I can put masculine shirts on, but its tedious and it does not solve the issue of the sims thereon disappearing from the preview images if I happen to click off of them while editing them.
Do I need to reset and repair my whole game? What can I do about my save file? All I downloaded in terms of CC recently was hair and clothing, but perhaps one of them bugged the entire game. ANY help at all would be appreciated, thank you!
Here is a visual of me attempting to put a masculine shirt onto a female sim with a feminine frame.
And here is the following issue if I click away from the female sim onto a different sim while trying to make them wear that masculine shirt: (the forever loading previews, which
Here is an image of me then trying to go back to that female sim that is still "loading". As you can see, she doesn't appear and instead my previous sim (the alien named Louhi) appears instead. I cannot edit him in any way, shape or form.
Here is an example of the imagery of the sim next to the moodlet information and their preview icon disappearing: (regardless of the other sims having their select a sim icons available, if I click onto them the majority next to their moodlets images will have disappeared as well). You can see that they are all still visible in the overworld (please excuse them for being naked as I removed all the CC in my game lol).
And as well, here is the example of the manage worlds previews all disappearing as well too: (even if I select other households, all of their previews regardless of played sims or townies they do not load previews).
I can provide the same imagery of a female sim with a masculine frame causing this as well if need be. It is the same no matter what frame the female sim has, she just cannot wear masculine shirts and you cannot tab out of her while attempting to wear the broken masculine shirts.
- @jrbookman I figured out the issue!
I repaired my game, and checked my CC all one by one (painstakingly tedious I know lol). I found the faulty CC that broke the game, isolated it and then relocated all of my mod files out once more to repair the game again and then made sure not to put that particular CC back in when moving the rest back.
Good luck to anyone else that has this issue in the future too it is almost always your CC!
