CC can’t be added or deleted
No CC can be added or removed. I got bored from my old CC and decided to delete them and download some new ones, also because some of my CC doesn’t work and I’m too lazy to find them in my mods folder. After I deleted everything from my mod folder and put all the new CC there and tried to play the game, all of the old CC showed up and none of the new CC. I’ve searched my whole mac for these CC items and I can’t find them. They literally don’t exist. I tried repairing the game, that didn’t work, I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the game again, that didn’t work. I even tried deleting the EA app and downloading it again and that didn’t work, I tried leaving my mod folder completely empty and that didn’t work either. The only way for my old CC not to show up is by not allowing mods in the game itself. It’s really frustrating because I like using CC and now I can’t. It’s been happening ever since the update that accompanied lovestruck. Not to mention, that update itself didn’t work for my laptop and the game says it’s fully up to date. Is there any way to fix this?
@Stagagator To make sure your game is properly updated, run a Game Repair in the EA App.
If you can't find your CC in a search, do you perhaps have something like OneDrive running? You can check the online Drive files to see if your CC got uploaded there, but you might just be stuck redownldoing. First, though, I advise getting OneDrive away from Sims after that as it causes problems... including problems like deciding what it thinks you actually want in Sims folders. Here's our support location for OneDrive with Sims 4: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/CURRENT-ISSUE-Sims-4-saves-user-content-disappearing-PC/td-p/12475370
If you still have issues with your Mods folder after that, Mac Tech is a best first stop: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mac/bd-p/The-Sims-Mac We have some Mac-specific advise pinned in this forum too.
