Child Sim Will Not Practice Riding Bike

I'm unsure if this is an ongoing problem in the Sims but it is not for me. Recently, I have tried to get my Sim child to practice riding a bike and they would instead stand there and wave their arms as if something is blocking their bikes or as if there isn't any room to ride the bike. My Sim kids have more than enough room to ride their bikes around. Also when trying to ask an adult Sim or a teenager to help with riding a bike, nothing happens. It's weird because my child Sim would ride a moded bike but not the bike that comes with the game. So I tried having the adult Sim ask the child to help ride the bike and for some reason, the child was able to ride the bike, but if I'm controlling the adult to ask the child. Now the child Sim would practice riding the bike inside the house which has no room at all to ride a bike. So the child can't ask for help with riding their bike and neither can they practice riding the bike.
