Complete child aspirations Parenting Predicament

I can't complete the task of "pick a new aspiration track..." in this scenario. I changed their aspirations and completed first level as can be seen in the screenshots I'll add but it's not registering with the task and the children are due to age up to teens and saw someone else have problems completing that task after they aged up to teens so don't want to be stuck in that situation. Can someone help, please?
